Hooray!

Another fun day with my cousin. She's a sweet kid. Boy do I feel old when I talk to her about technology though. Her response to me showing her the picture preview on a digital camera was, "Well duhhhhh." After visiting the art museum we stopped by the art library and I discovered that she can google like a pro. She also immediately knew how to get to the games on my cell phone. Kids these days...

This afternoon we made petal fairies and they had an all-girl "fairy wedding." It was grand. =)

She also sweetened the deal, so-to-speak, for our Scrabble game today. She put a dinosaur-shaped fruit snack on every double and triple letter/word score. And I have to say, she played a lot better once there were gummy triceratops up for grabs.

I finally heard that my (formerly invisible) paycheck for my first publication is going to be reissued. Hooray for wages I never thought I'd see!

We also have a place to live in our betweentime. Hooray for ridiculously kind friends with a spare bedroom!

Tomorrow, one of my best pals is flying back from China where she has been teaching English for the past couple of years. Hooray for reunions!

Now if only my stuff would pack itself...
